About Me

I'm a mum of two, living in Manchester and originally from Leeds. After a long stint in the corporate world, I took the leap to follow my creative path and build my own business—something I'd always dreamed of.

I'm now the artist behind Paintings by Nel, creating meaningful, tactile artwork and experiences for both children and adults. Art, travel, and my children are at the centre of everything I do, and they continue to inspire both my work and the spaces and experiences I create.

Workshops are at the heart of my practice. I design relaxed, inclusive sessions where creativity can flow freely—whether that's exploring texture, playing with colour, or simply building confidence through making. I'm especially passionate about creating spaces for people who don't see themselves as "creative," helping them reconnect with that side of themselves in a way that feels natural, enjoyable, and pressure-free.
